Job Description

High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire

Salary package: circa £70,000 per annum (including car allowance), plus benefits

37 hours per week

Paradigm is a values-led business and one of the UK’s most progressive developers and housing groups with 14,000 properties across the southeast of England and a large property development portfolio.

2017 is set to be an exciting time for Paradigm; with a turnover in excess of £115m and a clear road map for going forward, including substantial sales and development plans, we intend to build not just properties, but an ongoing and sustainable future for the people employed by PHG and their customers – our people at the heart of the business.

The goal is quite simple; providing more homes for people who need them, by running an efficient and successful enterprise.

As part of our progression, we are looking for a Head of Procurement to work with the management team to implement a new procurement strategy and lead the procurement activities and processes. The Procurement team has recognised that it must increase capability in order to deliver improved savings to the business and a best-in-class service to its customers. As a result, roles and organisational structure have been realigned to suit the requirements of the future Paradigm organisation and we are looking for high potential individuals who have the commercial, technical and behavioural leadership qualities to make this a reality.

Part of your remit will be to expand the existing team, recruiting three new and pivotal posts; so you really can directly shape and build the procurement function.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate excellent commercial experience with a proven track record of delivering cost reduction, whilst still improving quality and service. Ideally working knowledge and experience of the EU Procurement Directives and legislation would be advantageous to the growth of this role.

You will be working closely with the management team, and be able to communicate at all levels; implementing procurement strategies, objectives and processes should be second nature. Paradigm deliver high profile, quality work that makes a positive difference to people's lives.

Paradigm believes that hard work should be rewarded suitably; we offer an attractive range of benefits and encourage everyone to grow with us. We welcome applicants from all sections of the communities we work in.

Shortlisting will be conducted in line with the essential and desirable criteria set out in the person specification.
