The Role The successful Commercial Finance Manager will be crucial in setting up this new function as the business grows. Helping support the Marketing & Commercial teams to make the most efficient use of their budgeted spend, and to understand the key commercial drivers of the business. Key Responsibilities: Support and Challenge - working with the Marketing & Commercial Teams using robust & insightful analysis for commercial decision making. Progressive Systems - develop progressive scalable systems that are cutting edge for our size to efficiently service our teams, particularly in the areas of promotional effectiveness, forecasting and JBP modelling. Dynamic Information - drive the financial management reporting capability of the business to ensure relevant, useful, focused and timely analysis and recommendations. Business Accountability - help the Commercial and Marketing teams in the business to build budgets & forecasts, and manage performance against them. Intelligent Strategy - play a critical role in the management team with specific focus on demand planning and the S&OP process. Your Profile The successful Commercial Finance Manager is likely to be a part qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) and have a strong academic background. Exposure to working within a Food FMCG and Manufacturing business would be advantageous. The ability to really understand things from a consumer perspective is key, other transferable sectors may include Retail. This is a new role which we are looking to support and develop and would ideally suit someone who is looking to take a step forward in their career, someone who has relevant experience of working in a successful commercial finance function, and is now ready to take on the challenge of being the point of contact and making their own mark, on the first commercial finance role in Higgidy. You will be critical in shaping the future of the function so being excited about working in the food industry, a willingness to roll up your sleeves and identifying with the wider values of the Higgidy business is vital. Culturally this would suit a bright minded individual who has the ability to influence and communicate at all levels. This role will involve managing cross-functional relationships across a tight-knit entrepreneurial business. The Company In 13 years, the Higgidy Pies brand has grown from a kitchen start up to a circa £24M turnover food manufacturer and one of the fastest growing food brands in the chilled supermarket aisles. They employ just over 300 people and make up to 400,000 pies, quiches and sausage rolls in a week, which are sold all over the British Isles. Despite what has been achieved already, they are more excited about the future and have a vision to establish an enduring, iconic British food brand. Over the next 5 years they have a plan to more than double the size of their operation while remaining dedicated to their core purpose of putting "Heart into Food & Soul into Business". In order to achieve this vision, they are creating a new position of Commercial Finance Manager and are looking for a dynamic, commercial focused financial mind to join the Finance Team and play a crucial role in the future of the business. Salary & Benefits £40,000 - £45,000k + Benefits.
