This promises to be a busy, varied post that incorporates a wide range of duties from monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts to weekly & monthly payroll. Duties will include: Prepare monthly management accounts and Board packReconcile balance sheet accountsCo-ordinate and deliver budgets and forecastsDaily bank reconciliations & preparation of weekly cash flow forecastsReconcile and post expenses and petty cashMaintain the purchase and sales ledger. Make monthly payment runs for suppliers.Prepare VAT and EC Sales DeclarationsHire purchase & leasing agreementsManage fixed assets registerPrepare all year end functions and liaise with external auditorPrepare monthly / weekly salaries and all year end salary procedures, administration of pension scheme, liaise with Customs & Revenue and employees as necessaryReview and recommend improvements in controls and procedures to drive cost saving initiativesOptimise the Credit Control functionEnsure all recurring and project based income is billed in a timely and accurate fashionCarry out tasks as defined in any direct report's job profile/sParticipate in regular training/ learning activities to maintain and develop skills and knowledge Experience & skills required: AAT qualified, CIMA or ACCA qualified or part qualifiedUp to date knowledge of payroll processing and personal taxationWorking knowledge of QuickBooks &/or SageGood knowledge of Excel, Word and OutlookIdeally previous experience of working within a SME through a phase of growthExperience (or the potential) to supervise and nurture new recruits KEYWORDS: Sales Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Assistant, Accounts, Finance, Credit Control, Credit Controller, Purchase Ledger, AAT, ACCA, CIMA, Finance Assistant, Bookkeeping, Payroll, Graduate.
