Job Description

The Medical Systems Division represents Olympus’ largest business domain and is the global market and technology leader for medical endoscopes. Olympus aims to continuously find better and more economical solutions to medical issues which improve the well-being of patients, enhance the working environment for doctors and nursing staff and help to develop the overall performance of health care providers.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and critically review meaningful pricing analytics and both raise and discuss issues with product management and sales management.
  • Consult product management across region to set appropriate product prices reflecting both local market dynamics and strategic guidelines
  • Work together with product management to conduct periodic product price corrections and pricing reviews (MAESTRO, lifecycle pricing) based on evolving market situation, strategic orientation as well as macroeconomic factors.
  • Gather intelligence on competitor’s pricing behaviour and use it when deriving pricing decisions.
  • Ensure regional pricing guidelines (e.g., discount guidelines, delegation of authority, etc.) are included correctly in CRM system
  • Act as regional contact person for all pricing-related questions and assume task to further educate regional organization in all pricing-related topics
  • Design and develop Qlikview dashboards
  • Continuously produce actionable information for Sales and Marketing teams
  • Liaise across various divisions to collect information for reports
  • Provide timely response to Hamburg’s data requests
  • Design and present reports/updates in Quarterly Sales team meetings
  • Attend Quarterly Sales Meetings
  • Provide Private Hospital sales data for Head Of Professional Education, New Business -Development & Marketing

Your Qualifications:

  • Previous pricing experience in UK Med Tech environment essential
  • Possess an expert knowledge in the field of IT
  • Working knowledge of QlikView would be an asset
  • Excellent working knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Advanced to intermediate SQL query writing
  • Degree or equivalent
