The THOMAS Recruitment Group is a highly successful and award winning recruitment company who are seeking a highly experienced Accounts Assistant to join our Finance Team based at our Head Office in Cardiff.

The ideal candidate will be career focused and ambitious with a desire to progress, have previous hands-on experience in an Accounts department preparing Management information for Senior Managers. You must be able to communicate clearly and effectively and work on your own initiative.

Reporting directly to the Head Office Manager on a day to day basis, ultimately supporting the Finance Director. The role encompasses but is not limited to:

The Role:

Assist the payroll department in data entry of timesheets
Preparation of management reports and variance analysis
Monthly nominal reconciliations
Accruals and prepayments
Provide assistance in preparation of budgets

The Successful Candidate:

Excellent knowledge of Sage Accounts and Payroll
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication skills at all levels
Excellent attention to detail
Commercially astute
Methodical and Highly organised
Tenacious and self-motivated


£18000 - £22000/annum
