Insolvency / Distributions Officer

Our client, a leading consumer credit organisation and financial services provider, is currently recruiting for an experienced Insolvency Officer to join their expanding team. 

A busy, varied and self-managed role working in a vibrant and fast-paced environment, this is an ideal opportunity for an experienced financial services or claims professional to join a market-leading firm offering £18-20,000 starting salary plus up to £3,500 annual bonus, competitive benefits package and excellent career prospects. Suitable candidates will need to demonstrate a good standard of education together with 12 months’ experience in a similar insolvency role (ideally with some post-appointment or escalations experience although this is not essential).

Job Description
The purpose of this position is to review insolvency cases and act as the key point of contact prior to a distribution being made to creditors. Key duties will include:
• Assessing post-appointment insolvency cases and those at escalation points (breach/variation)
• Distributing on cases subject to the status and review
• Maintaining creditor relationships, collating information and following due process
• Liaising with creditors, advisors and agents
• Resolving issues proactively and keeping accurate records
• Handling incoming payments and managing creditor correspondence
• Answering incoming calls in a timely manner and offering excellent customer service
• Complying with relevant legislation and company guidelines

Person Specification
We are looking to hear from experienced insolvency practitioners with strong organisation and team-work skills who are ambitious, detail-oriented and passionate about customer service. You will need to be a proven relationship builder capable of managing your own workload who excels within a fast-paced environment. You should also be able to demonstrate:
• At least 12 months’ experience in a similar insolvency role
• Ideally some experience in assessing cases before making distributions
• Dedicated and driven mentality
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
