This post is responsible for the direct sales and promotion of the company Industrial product portfolio comprising of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), Remote Visual Inspection (RVI), Analytical Instrumentation (ANI) and Industrial Microscopy on their territory (Scotland). The role involves demonstrating industrial equipment, carrying out meetings with business and procurement managers with a view to growing market share for their portfolio as well as providing after sales support.
All aspects of managing a sales territory
Establishing new, and maintaining existing, relationships with customers
Managing and interpreting customer requirements
Co-ordinating sales projects
Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product will meet client needs
Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education
Recording of activity in company CRM system
Attending exhibitions, workshops and educational meetings.
Work across a wide variety of environments including high end research in academia and the - UK Manufacturing quality assurance and R+D facilities within a number of industries including; Automotive and Aerospace
Reporting to the National Sales Manager
Relevant experience in a scientific and /or engineering environment
A higher-level education in science or engineering would be an advantage
A full clean UK driving licence is essential.
Applicants should ideally be located in Scotland.
Previous working experience with RVI, NDT, XRF or Microscopy is desirable

If you have previous experience in a technical role, electronic wiring or soldering experience or other fine hand skills gained through other means (origami, model making etc) then Olympus would be interested in hearing from you.
As part of a European project, Olympus will be introducing a new night shift within our Medical Repairs division and require a large number of operatives to be fully trained up to work for us on an 18 month Fixed Term Contract.
Disassembly, refurbishment, repair, assembly and testing of a range of products to the required quality standards and within documented time limits.
Reading, understanding and adhesion to standard operating procedures as defined in repair manuals, method sheets and other documented processes or regulations
Inspection & quality checks throughout the repair process by means of visual inspection and/or electronic and mechanical function tests
The correct application and use of precision hand tools, soldering irons, test equipment, adhesives and chemicals
Accurate completion of administrative duties or inputting data relating to the repair process on computer systems or repair worksheets.
Adhering to the quality, health & safety and working practice expectations of the Technical Services division
Providing additional support to ensure that the Service division’s KPI targets can be achieved and completing
Previous experience in a technical role, electronic wiring, soldering experience or other fine hand skills gained through other means (origami, model making etc)
Ability to read and understand detailed technical instructions
A good level of literacy, with an ability to be able to read and write clearly and concisely
Good computer literacy, including the use of email, and data entry

To give all children equal care and attention
